Do the Japanese also play with english cards or are you allowed to use different language cards? Either way, good luck and have fun in your competition!
You are allowed to use whatever language card you prefer, so as long as it is a legit card (can even use textless versions assuming the card has that variant). Considering Standard doesn’t have a HUGE variance in cards, it is pretty easy to recognize a card simply from it’s art.
